I am Michel Chenelle and I will be teaching 8th grade Language Arts, 7th grade Language Arts, and Publishing. After receiving a B.A. in Theater Arts from U.C.L.A. in 1981, I worked both domestically and internationally in the theater and the arts. In 2002, I spent a summer volunteering in Ghana which influenced my decision to become a teacher. I received my teaching credential from Cal State Los Angeles.
I started my career at CHIME as a para-educator where I also had the opportunity to complete my student teaching. I was involved with the Drama program from 2004-2006, as well as being responsible for the publication of the school newspaper and yearbook.
I try to create a class environment where all students can feel successful accessing the curriculum. I am committed to constructing meaningful lessons that will not only help students grasp necessary concepts, but will help them understand how these concepts are used in everyday life.
